What this is

A gathering that becomes a place.

Most gatherings end on Sunday and leave a field of flattened grass. We want the opposite: a gathering that stays, on ground that is kept, by people who come back. Somewhere a child can run barefoot from the river to the kitchen, an elder can sit in silence at dawn, and a field can go quiet under the stars because nobody switched anything on.

We are not claiming a country. We are not naming a date. We are naming the ten things that have to be true on the land, and building the circle of people who will make them true. When the ground appears, we will be ready for it.

Ten things, one ground. Each has its own page, its own practices, its own reasons. Together they are the whole place.

    The circle

    People first. A growing circle of people who want this to exist and are willing to carry a piece of it: the healers, the musicians, the builders, the parents, the ones who simply keep showing up. Join it here.

    The gatherings

    A festival, retreats and ceremonies, held by the people in the circle. They are the first taste of the land before there is land, and their surplus is set aside for the ground. What we mean by gatherings.

    The land

    Found, bought, held and kept: a place with water, trees, quiet and room, that the ten pillars can grow into. What we are looking for, and how to point us to it.

The search

We are looking for land.

Not any land. Ground with living water. Old trees and open meadow. Real dark at night and real quiet in the morning. Room for a few hundred people to gather without the place feeling it. Neighbours who could become friends.

  • Water on the land: a river, a lake, a spring.
  • Forest and meadow, both, with room to grow more forest.
  • Dark skies and quiet: no motorway, no floodlights, no airport path.
  • Reachable without a car being the only option.

Where is Spiritual Land?
Nowhere yet. The land has not been found. The search is open and deliberately not tied to one country: we are looking for the right ground, with water, trees, quiet and room, wherever it turns out to be. If you know land, you can point us to it on the search page.
When does it open?
There is no date and there will be none on this site until there is ground under it. The order is clear: first the circle of people, then gatherings that fund the ground, then the land. How long that takes depends on the people who join.
How is the land paid for?
Through the gatherings: a festival, retreats and ceremonies held by the people in the circle, with the surplus set aside for the ground. Not through this website: there is nothing for sale here and nothing to donate to yet.
How do I take part?
Join the circle with your email, so you hear when there is something real to hear. If you have land, hold ceremony, make music or art, work with children or with soil, or want to build, tell us on the co-create page.
Is it religious?
No. Spiritual here means the inner life, open to every tradition and to none. No doctrine, no leader whose word is final, nothing you have to believe to be welcome.
