Frequency

Vibration, in sound and in the body, felt as much as heard; the physical basis of the frequencies pillar, described without pseudoscience.

Belongs to pillar 06: Frequencies

Frequency is just how fast something vibrates, measured in hertz. A gong vibrates at many frequencies at once, which is why it sounds like weather. A human voice humming in a group produces beats between the voices that you feel in the chest. The word has been loaded with a lot of claims, some about specific numbers curing specific things, and the land keeps its distance from those.

What is real: low frequencies are felt in the body more than heard; sustained tones change breathing and heart rate; group sound synchronises people in ways they notice; silence after sound is louder than silence before it. The frequencies pillar is built on those facts, and on the plain experience that a field full of people lying under a gong at night stands up softer than it lay down.

The land will have its own instruments, made or gifted, and a sound temple open at dawn and at night. It will also protect real quiet, because a frequency means nothing without the silence around it.
